Amedeo "Daisy" D'ippolito
A character on and off the field, what he lacks as a fielder he makes up for as a batter, getting the team off to a good start by hitting scores early on in the innings with his somewhat unorthodox wristy lunging batting style.
1XI Captain; the one who stays there and keeps one end from falling, defensive batter that likes to be there a while in order to knock up his score, patient and decisive. An exceptional catcher of the ball and a superb captain.
The 'experienced' Bruce is a character through and through; one of the three Reid brothers associated with Feni CC he is an extrememely hard hitting aggressive batsman who has hit the high scores on numerous occasions - once the ball has been hit it stays hit. He is also considered for the bowling attack with his left arm round the wicket, trundling in with his medium pacers as well as being an excellent slip/gulley fielder.
Chris 'The Prodigal Son' Bleasdale
The Prodigal Son of Feni CC returns once again; plying his trade at Bacup Chris came back, helped the 1XI to promotion with his batting and winning the league bowling prize but went back to Bacup the following season. He is now back for good and is an all-round performer. He regularly gets runs with the bat, takes wickets with the ball and holds on to catches. One of the best cricketers at Feni and a thorn in the side of the opposition.
Another young lad with bags of potential and has really stepped up a notch with his bowling, his fast pace and accuracy can win any game as well as notching the odd run or two in the batting line-up.
Captain of the 2XI and Feni's single innings highest scorer, more than capable of getting runs but thrives off confidence. A good Captain on the field and a Great Grandad off it.
The larger than life character as well as physique can quite easily bowl from one end all afternoon keeps runs down and is an excellent wicket taker that can chip in with runs when required.
Forever the joker of the pack loving life and his cricket, the medium pace bowler endeavours to put it on the spot time and time again, a trasfer from the bitter rivals Cherry Tree can send the bowl soaring on his day and get runs on the board.
Jack 'The Future' Ellison
Young Jack, still only 14 played for the 3XI regular in 2009 and subsequently played for the 2XI towards the end of the season, he has since played more senior cricket thus far in 2010 and is regarded as an up and coming star of the future at Feni CC
Forever loving have a laugh both on and off the field 'Half Pint' posses the ability to score high run totals and take wickets as well as being and excellent catcher of the ball.
Jordan "Greenhalgh" White
The young batter has huge potential and thrives off confidence, he can can very easily stay at the crease all day and torment bowlers on his way to scoring his runs, a patient batter that always strives for his best.
A veteran that still has it, the former wicket keeper now slip/gulley fielder is an excellent batter and is more than capable of putting any match to bed on his day.
The tormenting trundler infuriates with his wicket to wicket bowling, doesn't give a lot away and is on the money to get wickets with future potential very promising as well as being able to notch up a few runs when he puts his mind to it.
A superb opening batter that will tirelessly infuriate bowlers with his patient style, a long innings and a high run total is always a possiblity and extremely mobile in the field unfortunately Feni never has the luxury of a full season.
The run a ball aggressive batter will anger bowlers at aiming to play every bowl, he has an excellent eye and can regularly get a decent total, sharp behind the wickets and a great lad to have around
Michael "Bleazy" Bleasdale
Regards himself as a fielder, a character on and off the field, he can occasionally help out with runs but saves more in the field than hits with the bat.
The spinner reformed back to his preferred medium pace bowling, endeavouring to put it on the spot every time. A huge hitter and a good eye on his day can quite easily speed up the run rate.
Allrounder Snapey is a rock in the team, his batting can be exceptional and effortless. A mainstay in the 1XI with not only his batting but also his bowling, not so much steaming in as his younger days but definitely putting nip on the ball and sending the wickets flying.
Fast pace left arm over has bags of potential but unfortunately lacks accuracy and consistency but he was to clean that up would be a superb bowler, he is very difficult handle on his day and a great option to have.
The 'experienced' Silly has played for Feni for many years but after a break came back to us in the 2009 season, the middle order batter has runs in his pocket and on his day will punish any bowler, reliable in the field and a character on and off the field.
Captain of the 3XI and would be a dead cert for the 1XI if he was available on Saturdays, he regularly torments bowlers by smashing them out of the ground with an extremely quick run rate and takes wickets with his surprisingly quick bowling of a short run up.
A prolific opening bowler uses the 'swinging bowl' to the maximum regularly taking big wickets and demoralising teams with the his accuracy and for a lower order batter he can send the bowl hurtling out the ground.
Peter "Secretary" Brennan
Club Secretary and character off and on the field, early batsman for the 3XI although the Captain refuses to bowl him, great lad to have around.
Jacko, one of the promising young cricketers at Feni, he is an excellent bowler and on his day will crush teams on the way to victory. Handy with the bat and has hit scores throughout his short career, unfortunately his football never allows him to play a full season.
Richard "Fundraiser" Turner
Clubman of the year 2009, the Vice/Co-Captain of the 2XI pitches in with both bat and the bowl if required. The opening batter can smash the bowl around on his day and also plays the patient game, a superb gentleman and a credit to his team.
Regarded as the most improved and is now considered to be the 1XI opening bowler, he now keeps his head whilst bowling his fast pace on the spot bowls and crushing teams. He can chip in with the runs and also considers himself a batter also and always wants to move up the order.
Simon "McLovin" "Wheelie Bin" Turner
An opening left-hand batter just like his Dad is an excellent prospect now and for the future, he takes his batting seriously and in the coming years when he doesn't lose his head and chase runs rather than the free flowing batting he illustrates early on in his innings he will be a great batsman.
Back full time this season the giant is a very good batter and can get the team off to a good start early on, with baseball gloves for hands the team feels confident when the ball is under him.
Superb wicket keeper that would stand up to the wicket for anyone if required, agile and decisive. He is one of the highest run scorers at Feni year after year and a batsman never tires of putting the 1XI in the driving seat.
