Feniscowles CC 2010

Welcome to the official Feniscowles Cricket Club Web Site.
The 2010 season looms - Winter nets are under way at St Bede’s High School on Wednesday nights 7 til 9pm - all new comers welcome.
Unfortunately after a struggling season in Division 1 our 1XI were subsequently relegated but baited with new breath and a refreshed will to succeed the 1XI will once again re-group, stand tall and try to take Division 2 by storm once again under the new leadership of Andrew Allen.
The 2XI had what could be called a mixture of fortunes, winning when we were expected to lose and in the games we thought may have been close - quite frankly wasn’t but that is all about to change with Dave Feilding captaining the 2XI with the help of Richard Turner in the hope of the prosperous veterans instilling stability.
The 3XI will once again be captained by the explosive Paul Slater - after a successful year in 2009 the controversial points system finished us mid-table but with the 2010 season approaching Paul will be looking at another successful season and looking forward to bringing more youngsters in to senior cricket.
Our Junior teams will once again be perfecting their trade operating at Under 11, Under 13, Under 15 and Under 18’s respectively with training under way also at St Bede’s High School on a Friday night in the hope of winning a call up to one of the senior teams.
All Senior and Junior teams play in the Houldswoth Solicitors Ribblesdale Cricket League and our home games are at the Fenicowles War Memorial Ground which has been a pleasure to play on last season and will surely flourish once again under the strict and watchful eye of Keith Grogan.
Once again we would like to reiterate that all new comers are welcome with open arms - you can turn up to training unannounced to participate and join the unit that is Feniscowles Cricket Club and with the friendly atmosphere of the Sports and Social Club next to the field you’ll find it hard to pull yourself away.
This is all run under the trusty organisation and close scrutiny of new Chairman David Ashcroft, Secretary Pete Brennan and Treasurer Fred Kenyon
